Enjoying the Little Things & a Giveaway

source

Aren't these crochet hooks adorable (I'm loving little Russian dolls right now)? When I found The Lemonade Shop on Etsy, I immediately had hook envy. I know we all love to crochet, but how much more fun would it be with one of these adorable hooks? Heather has owls, snowmen, and elephants, among other things, so be sure to head over to her shop and check it out!

Have you ever made a patchwork throw? I want to really badly. I'm just scared to take the plunge, start making hundreds of squares, and find that I never have the time to finish it. I'd definitely have to put my shop on vacation and sit and crochet every night until I had it finished. The final product would be amazing, though. I purchased this book a while back in hopes of making my own afghan... hasn't happened yet, but maybe one day.

Bright colored yarn makes me smile. Consequently, my house is full of it. I recently gave Knit Picks yarn a try - Comfy and Shine Worsted are unbelievably soft. Honeydew is my favorite shade, but they are all vibrant and beautiful.

I know this is different than my usual Little Things posts and there's a reason for that - it's giveaway time! One Daisy Cottage Designs winner will be chosen to receive the hook of her choice from The Lemonade Shop, 3 skeins of Knit Picks cotton yarn (one Shine, two Comfy), a copy of Go Crochet: An Afghan Design Workbook, and both Daisy Cottage Designs patterns. Use the form below to enter the giveaway and the winner will be selected and announced on January 1st!

Best wishes and a huge thanks to everyone who's followed the blog and left sweet comments in 2012!

  18. I love your blog! I am a new follower (since October) and have since crocheted lots of your lovely hats and the flowers to go on them for all of my nieces and my daughters. So cute! I am also thinking of taking the plunge and making an afghan. Scary! My husband's beloved grandmother recently passed away. She was a fabulous knitter and crocheter and left a closet full of gorgeous yarn. I think it would be a neat way to honor her to make an afghan out of it. Thanks for your blog! It inspires me!

I would choose the matryoshka doll hook. How adorable it that?!?
