Enjoying the Little Things: {Cupcakes & Party Hats}

playdate

On Monday, Riley and I had a few of our friends over for a "playdate." Riley was so excited she pulled her bathroom stool to the window by the front door and stood looking out most of the morning. Any sound that came from outside had to mean they were here!

The little boy on the left is Elijah - he's turning three this month. His parents are planning a fun birthday activity that doesn't include buddies so we decided to have a surprise party for our little friend. By party I mean a couple presents, party hats, and cupcakes. At three, that's a big deal. These kiddos had the best time eating a picnic in my living room, running around the back yard, and making a mess with eating their treats.

I'm so thankful for the friends God has blessed me with - especially the ones with kids the same ages as mine.

  1. Do you know how fun it is to see another YOUNG lady who crochets??? :) And it looks like those angels had a blast! Isn't it funny about the house thing? I would have never guessed your house was small too. Isn't it funny how you assume things from a blog? On the contentment issue, I thought you might like a series here: http://www.thehandmadehome.net/2012/12/the-lazy-gals-guide-perspective-less-is-the-new-more/
