Daisy Granny Square Crochet Pattern

Daisy Granny Square Crochet Pattern

I've always wanted to make a patchwork blanket, but I've always been a little bit intimidated by the weaving and joining and time involved in the process. Well, I need to make a birthday gift for a little girl who's turning 5, and decided that I would make her a baby doll blanket made from this daisy square motif. This daisy granny square is simple, yet beautiful. If you don't want to make an afghan or baby blanket, they'd also be perfect for coasters.

Want to make some of these adorable squares? Here's how.

Materials:
- Small amounts of worsted weight yarn in white, yellow, and a contrasting color
- J crochet hook
- Tapestry Needle and Scissors

Notes:

Starting Triple Crochet Cluster (STCC): ch 3, wrap yarn around hook twice. Insert hook into a dc from the previous round. Pull up a loop; yarn over, pull through 2 loops; yarn over, pull through two loops. There should be 2 loops remaining on your hook. Yarn over twice, insert hook into the SAME stitch; pull up a loop; yarn over, pull through 2 loops; yarn over, pull through 2 loops. There should now be 3 loops on your hook. Yarn over, pull through all loops.

Triple Crochet Cluster (TCC): Wrap yarn around hook twice. Yarn over twice, insert hook into the SAME stitch. Pull up a loop; yarn over, pull through 2 loops; yarn over, pull through 2 loops; There should now be 4 loops on your hook. Yarn over, pull through all loops.

If you're unfamiliar with cluster stitches, here's how you they're made. If you're a visual learner, this is a great video tutorial.
