Last Friday, our little family pulled out of the driveway and headed up the road to visit David's parents and sisters in Alabama. We hadn't been since last November, so it was wonderful to see everyone. It's amazing how much our nieces and nephews have grown in the past year - we wish we could see them more often. Riley and Caroline loved playing with their cousins.
There's been an addition to the family since this photo was taken last Saturday - David's younger sister gave birth to a sweet baby girl yesterday. It's a challenge to get a photo with 9 kids under 9 all looking at the camera. I don't think there will ever be one where every child looks his best; but I still think this shot is adorable! We look forward to the time when we can get a photo with the newest cousin.
After spending quality time with family and visiting our favorite away-from-home church, we spent a couple of days enjoying some vacation time. We went to Chattanooga, TN for an afternoon and then headed to Stone Mountain, GA. We had a wonderful time exploring, enjoying the beautiful weather, and seeing God's creation.
It was great to get away, but it's always nice to get back home. The time away to catch up on sleep and family time was amazing, but now things are back in full-swing - just the way we like it.
What darling little girls you have...and it doesn't hurt that you are a very talented photographer :) I always love visiting your site...I leave inspired and happy!
Sounds like a great trip! I love the photos of Riley and Caroline together. They're both getting so big! These are definitely frame-worthy!
